The 3rd edition of the HANDS-ON Fetal Ultrasound Course brings leading maternal-fetal medicine experts to Bucharest for two days of hands-on scanning on volunteer patients, real case discussions and advanced prenatal diagnosis training.

It is our great pleasure to invite you to the 3rd edition of the HANDS-ON Fetal Ultrasound Course, which will take place on 13-14 November 2026 at the MINA Museum of Immersive New Art, Bucharest.

The event is coordinated by Dr. Ana Maria Vayna, senior consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and specialist in Fetal Medicine and Therapy, and brings together some of the most highly regarded experts in maternal-fetal medicine from Romania and abroad.

Designed as an intensive and deeply practical educational experience, the course gives participants the opportunity to refine their prenatal diagnosis skills through hands-on sessions with volunteer patients, analysis of real clinical cases and direct interaction with leading lecturers in the field.

The 2026 edition will address topics of major interest, including first-trimester fetal screening, advanced fetal morphology, fetal echocardiography, fetal growth restriction, multiple pregnancy, placenta accreta spectrum (PAS) pathology and the prenatal diagnosis of fetal malformations.

The course is organised by the Romanian Fetal Medicine Foundation, in collaboration with its strategic partners MEDIST Imaging and Canon Medical Romania, with the aim of promoting excellence in prenatal diagnosis and the continuous development of medical education in maternal-fetal medicine.

The event will also be accredited with CME credits by the Romanian College of Physicians.
