In the coming months, we will embark on an exciting journey through the traditions and cultural values of different countries, as part of the eTwinning Rooted in Values project. This initiative aims to explore and celebrate cultural diversity through interactive activities, giving students the opportunity to discover essential elements of international cultural heritage.

What do we aim to achieve?

The project is structured into four thematic stages:

📌 Month 1 – Traditional Games
We will learn and play traditional games from various cultures, experiencing authentic cultural exchanges and promoting harmony among communities.

📌 Month 2 – Traditional Cuisine
We will explore culinary traditions, discovering specific recipes and promoting a healthy lifestyle. This stage will help us better understand the diversity of gastronomy and the importance of a balanced diet.

📌 Month 3 – Traditional Crafts and Art
We will analyze and create objects inspired by traditional crafts, fostering a deeper appreciation for the artistic heritage of the participating countries.

📌 Month 4 – Traditional Music
We will enjoy traditional rhythms, discovering specific instruments, songs, and artistic expressions from different cultures.

Objectives and Expected Outcomes

Through the Rooted in Values project, we aim to:
✅ Promote cultural diversity and help students understand the importance of cultural heritage.
✅ Develop essential skills such as digital communication, international collaboration, and creativity.
✅ Encourage the use of digital educational content through interactive activities.

At the end of the project, students will not only gain knowledge about the traditions of different countries, but they will also enhance their digital and social skills, thus strengthening their competencies for the future.

With this project, we wish to demonstrate the positive impact of the eTwinning platform on education, offering students the opportunity to learn in an interactive and engaging way. Cultural exchanges will help shape young people to be more open-minded, empathetic, and prepared for a globalized world.

With positive feedback from participants and teachers, Rooted in Values is already shaping up as a best practice example for integrating technology into the exploration of cultural traditions. This project highlights the importance of international collaboration and the potential of digital education in preserving and promoting authentic values.4o
